LAS VEGAS (Legal Newsline) – Author, actor, filmmaker and anti-human trafficking crusader Brook Parker Bello is expected among scheduled speakers at this week’s three-day Mass Torts Made Perfect conference that begins today at the The Wynn.
Bello, CEO of More Too Life, an Open Doors Outreach Network provider and founder of the Youthiasm ministry, is scheduled to speak before the Women in Legal Leadership breakfast Friday morning during the conference. Bello, who has appeared in dozens of TV shows and films, is author of educational curriculum geared toward sexual exploitation and gender-based violence prevention and holds a doctorate in pastoral clinical counseling, according to her brief biography at the MTMP website.
Other speakers expected on the agenda during the three-day conference, representing more than 500 law firms and covering about 50 mass torts topics, include Adam A. Edwards, senior attorney at Greg Coleman Law in Knoxville, Tennessee; Aimee Wagstaff, founding partner of Andrus Wagstaffin Lakewood, Colorado; and Deb Zonies, leader of mass tort services at Verus and co-founder and president of Case Management Solutions, Inc.
At least one panel features a retired judge – David Herndon of the Southern District of Illinois – and a lawyer who participated in last year’s $250 million settlement of protracted litigation against State Farm – Elizabeth Cabraser of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein in San Francisco. They are assigned to “The Dynamics and Backstory of How Major Mass Tort Projects Settle – The Inside Story.”
